Terms, Conditions, and Warranty Disclaimer

These terms apply to every service booked with Teked Mobile Bike Services LLC. By booking an appointment you agree to adhere to them.

01Mobile Operations & Travel Fees

  • Applicability & Definition: "Mobile Operations" applies to any and all services performed outside of our primary dispatch address located at 6520 Richies Way, Apollo Beach, FL 33572.
  • Fee Structure: The minimum Mobile Operations Fee is strictly $55.00, or it is calculated at $6.25 per mile (one-way based on standard GPS routing), whichever is greater.
  • Strict Standalone Policy: This fee is exclusively for travel, logistics, and dispatching a fully equipped mobile workshop to your location. It is incurred the moment a technician is dispatched. It is completely independent of labor and parts, and cannot be used as a deposit, offset, or credit toward any other line item on your invoice.
  • Refusal or Inability to Service: The Mobile Operations Fee remains fully payable and non-refundable even if the bicycle is deemed unrepairable upon arrival, if the bicycle is determined to be unsafe to service, or if the client chooses to refuse the quoted service after the technician has arrived on-site.

02Cancellation Policy, Operating Hours, & On-Site Cancellations

  • 48-Hour Requirement: To be eligible for any refund of a deposit, a cancellation or rescheduling request must be confirmed a minimum of 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
  • Calculation Exclusively by Business Hours: The 48-hour notice window is strictly calculated using the official business hours of Teked Mobile Bike Services LLC: Monday through Friday (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM), Saturday (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM), and closed on Sunday. Any communication sent outside of these operating hours will be considered officially received at 10:00 AM on the following business day.
  • Forfeiture: Any "No Call, No Show", inability to access the bicycle at the scheduled time, or any schedule modification requested inside the active 48-hour window will result in the immediate and strict forfeiture of any deposits paid.
  • On-Site Cancellation by Client: If the client chooses to cancel the requested service for any reason while the technician is already on-site at the client's chosen location, the client will immediately incur both the Mobile Operations Fee and an Evaluation Fee. The Evaluation Fee compensates for the technician's time and on-site assessment, and the cost varies depending on the specific type of bicycle(s) being looked at or worked on (e.g., standard, e-bike, cargo, or custom builds). Both fees are strictly non-refundable and due immediately upon cancellation.

03Payments & Deposit Allocation

  • Not a Final Receipt: Any deposit paid prior to service is strictly a partial down-payment used to secure an appointment slot or order specific parts. A deposit receipt does not constitute a "Paid in Full" invoice.
  • Final Billing: Upon completion of service, the deposit will be credited toward the overall final invoice. The final invoice may vary from initial estimates if undisclosed issues are discovered during the service appointment. The remaining balance must be paid in full immediately upon completion.

04Service Selection, Evaluation & Refusal

  • Booking Clarification: If you are unsure of the correct service required for your bicycle, it is your responsibility to consult with a Teked Mobile Bike Services LLC Associate prior to booking.
  • Technician Authority: If an incorrect or insufficient service is booked online, the on-site technician reserves the sole authority to determine the actual service required to safely and effectively repair the bicycle.
  • Updated Costs: The technician will provide the updated cost of service based on the bicycle's actual condition. If the client refuses the updated service requirements or costs upon arrival, the client remains legally responsible for the aforementioned Mobile Operations Fee and any applied Evaluation Fees.

05Customer-Supplied & Third-Party Parts (Total Warranty Voidance)

  • No Warranty on Outside Items: Teked Mobile Bike Services LLC offers ZERO warranty, guarantee, or liability (express or implied) for any parts, components, accessories, or fluids not directly sold and supplied by our business.
Total Voiding of Service Warranty. If a client requests that a customer-supplied or third-party item be installed, paired, or mixed with our professional labor, ALL WARRANTIES FOR THE ENTIRE BICYCLE ARE IMMEDIATELY AND PERMANENTLY VOIDED.
  • Scope of Voidance: This warranty voidance is absolute. It applies to the entire bicycle and all interconnected components, regardless of whether the third-party part directly interacts with the specific system being serviced. Teked Mobile Bike Services LLC accepts no liability for mechanical failure, property damage, or personal injury resulting from the use or integration of third-party parts.

06Prior Tampering & Evaluation Fees

Definition of Tampering: This includes, but is not limited to, previous DIY repair attempts, improper assembly, stripped hardware, rounded bolts, cross-threaded components, modifications, or undocumented work performed by unauthorized third parties prior to our arrival.

Mandatory Evaluation Fee: Bicycles presenting with prior tampering require extensive diagnostic caution. A mandatory Evaluation Fee will be assessed to safely inspect and diagnose the condition of the bicycle.

Variable Rates: This fee is non-negotiable and varies based on the category and complexity of the bicycle (e.g., standard, e-bike, cargo, or custom build). This fee applies even if the technician ultimately determines the tampered bicycle is beyond safe repair and declines to perform further labor.

07Finality of Sales & Payment Disputes

  • Absolute Finality: All sales are strictly and legally FINAL. This applies without exception to all products, parts, accessories, completed labor, mobile operations fees, evaluation fees, and diagnostic fees.
  • No Refunds: No refunds, returns, or credits will be issued under any circumstances once a service is completed or a transaction is finalized.
  • Dispute Waiver: By submitting payment for rendered services or products, the client accepts the work as satisfactorily completed. The client expressly agrees not to initiate credit card chargebacks, stop-payments, or payment disputes for any finalized sales or completed services.

08Safe Work Environment & Parking Accessibility

  • Adequate Space Requirement: The client is responsible for providing a safe, legal, and adequately sized parking area for our custom mobile workshop vehicle and enclosed trailer.
  • Right of Refusal for Unsafe Conditions: If the technician arrives and determines the environment is unsafe, inaccessible, or illegal to park in (e.g., steep incline, blocking traffic, hazardous weather conditions, or HOA violations), the technician reserves the right to refuse service or require the client to relocate the bicycle. If service cannot be performed due to inadequate parking or unsafe conditions, the client will be charged the standard Mobile Operations Fee.
  • Property Damage Waiver: While all precautions are taken to maintain a clean workspace, Teked Mobile Bike Services LLC is not liable for incidental marking, tire tracks, or minor fluid/grease drops on driveways, roads, or private property resulting from the standard operation of a mobile service unit.

09E-Bike Systems, Firmware, and Battery Liability

  • Uncertified or Damaged Batteries: We reserve the right to immediately refuse service on any e-bike presenting with swollen, damaged, tampered, or non-certified lithium-ion batteries due to severe fire and safety risks.
  • Firmware & Software Updates: For electronic systems (including, but not limited to, e-bike drive units and electronic shifting), services may require firmware or software updates. Teked Mobile Bike Services LLC is not responsible for system failures, "bricked" components, or performance changes that result from manufacturer-issued software updates applied during the diagnostic or repair process.
  • Derestriction Devices: We will not service, install, or tune any e-bike equipped with aftermarket speed-limit bypass devices (derestrictors). If a derestrictor is discovered during service, work will immediately cease, and the client will be liable for the Evaluation Fee and Mobile Operations Fee.

10Test Ride & Post-Service Liability Release

  • Inherent Risks of Cycling: Cycling is an inherently dangerous activity. By accepting the completed service, the client acknowledges these risks.
  • Post-Service Inspection & Test Ride: It is the client's responsibility to inspect the bicycle and conduct a safe, low-speed test ride immediately upon completion of service to verify all systems are functioning to their satisfaction.
  • Release of Liability: Teked Mobile Bike Services LLC, its owners, and technicians shall not be held liable for any bodily injury, property damage, or death resulting from the subsequent use, storage, or transportation of the bicycle after services have been rendered and the bicycle has been returned to the client's possession.

11Unforeseen Delays & Force Majeure

Mobile Transit Variables: Appointment times are estimates. Teked Mobile Bike Services LLC is not liable for delays or missed appointments caused by severe weather, severe traffic congestion, road closures, or sudden mechanical failure of our mobile service vehicles. Clients will be notified as soon as safely possible if an unavoidable delay or need to reschedule arises.

12Unclaimed Property, Storage Fees & Abandonment

  • Storage Fee Accrual: If a bicycle is not picked up or accepted back within 7 days of service being completed, a daily storage fee will be charged retroactively from day 8 onward.
  • Storage Fee Rates:
    • Standard bicycles, E-bikes, and Elliptigo units$8.00 / day
    • Recumbents, trikes, and Streetstriders$12.00 / day
  • Abandonment: Any bicycle or property left in the possession of Teked Mobile Bike Services LLC for more than 30 days following notification of service completion or refusal of an invoice will be considered legally abandoned. Abandoned property will be sold, disposed of, or donated to cover outstanding storage fees, invoice balances, and administrative costs.
